THE REAL DEAL

Although a 150 year old church may not seem like the most exciting place for kids to visit, it’s a great place in to stop while in St. Georges and get a short lesson in Bermuda history. St. Peters church is famously known for the 26 grand steps that lead up to the church’s main entrance, so if you do require stroller or wheelchair access it will have to be from the back of the church where it is less difficult. We were greeted at the entrance by the nice gentleman who manages the church grounds and gave us a brief history lesson about St. Peters being the oldest Anglican church in the western world, before we roamed freely around the church to explore the architecture and artifacts. As the church is small, it works well for young kids who have a short attention span.
